One important aesthetic difference between the SK55 and the other models in the range is the introduction of a central vertical bar in the speaker grille for greater structural support.

Atelier 1 Hi-Fi system and L1 speaker, BRAUN
Prior to this project, all audio systems consisted of a single module that integrated both the speakers and the player. Rams divided the device into several independent modules, the device became more compact. This structure soon became the standard.

Speaker L2, BRAUN
Rams designed the new speaker and placed it on a metal stand, which has been borrowed by Braun's competitors more than once.

Electrostatic speaker LE1, BRAUN
Braun LE1 was a symbol of innovation at the time, as it was electrostatic and equipped with super-light membranes as a visual cue for clarity. It was the first loudspeaker model to be launched on the German market.
